The Gist:

We’re making a Distantly Social Session for ‘Keep Coming Home’ and would like you to add an instrumental texture to the track. It doesn’t matter what instrument you use - there are a bunch of different ambient textural bits in the Fish Pond Fish version that can serve as inspiration, but we also want to hear your ideas.

One idea: You play the full song along with Harris. We might use the full thing. We also might not!

Another idea: You send us any amount of time of you droning/noodling in the key of Bb. We’ll arrange it into the track.

Important! A few things to keep in mind when making your videos at home:

• The song is in the key of Bb (ya ya ya, the album version is in B, but we didn’t want certain instrumentalists to hate us for this project…)

• Send us a vertical video of you playing any instrument along with Harris’s reference video

• We recommend you capture your performance on a phone (if you know how to get fancier and want to, feel free)

• If you’re playing the full song, start your recording when Harris snaps

• Make sure to listen along to Harris’s reference video in headphones on a separate device so Harris’s audio doesn’t bleed into your recording

• No singing the lyrics, please! Textural vocals (oo’s, aa’s) are great

• Don’t worry if you hit a wrong note or anything, we’ll just be taking excerpts anyway based on how everything works together

• We’ll need your submission by Sunday, May 9th

• By sending us a video, you are granting Darlingside permission to include it in a video that will be published on social media, YouTube, etc.
